The original bodyweight-equalised score used across federations for decades.

Which score should I use?

Wilks is the oldest and most widely recognised formula, still used by many federations globally for all-time records and historical comparisons.

IPF GL Points replaced Wilks in IPF competition in 2020. If you compete in the IPF or any IPF-affiliated national federation (e.g. British Powerlifting, Styrkeløft Norge), this is the score that determines your placing.

Dots was developed as an alternative and is used by the USAPL and several other federations. It is often considered more balanced across the full bodyweight spectrum.

All three formulas take the full powerlifting total (squat + bench + deadlift) and your competition bodyweight as inputs. Higher is always better — there is no maximum.
